Today we will be working with BBOWT at Hosehill Lake, Theale. We will be doing path construction and clearance on the east side of the Lake.

Parking will be at the rear of the Fox and Hounds pub, What3words:///fuels.tools.mercy. We will meet in the car park, then cross Deans Copse Road to enter the reserve.

If you’re coming along the A4 from Thatcham, turn right at the Spring Inn signposted Sulhamstead, then go over the railway, river and canal. About half a mile from the A4, turn left into Bottom Lane. After a bit over a mile along Bottom Lane, turn left at the junction and continue about a quarter of a mile until you reach a roundabout by a business park. Bear right (second exit) and the pub will be on your left.

If you’re coming from the roundabout at junction 12 of the M4, head towards Theale on the A4. Go straight ahead at the first roundabout, and after about half a mile take the slip road off the dual carriageway, signposted Theale Station. Take the third exit at the next roundabout and the second exit at the one after that, heading towards the station. Continue over the railway bridge and the canal, where there’s a set of traffic lights. About half a mile on from there, take the first exit off the roundabout by a business park and the pub will be on the left.
